The Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) is an autonomous body established under the Government of Maharashtra (Maharashtra Act No. XXXVIII of 1997). Passing Criteria
To pass a subject in the MSBTE Diploma examination, students must score at least 40% in the combined assessment of Theory and Internal Assessment. MSBTE may also award grace marks (Condonation) if a student falls short by a small margin in one or two subjects.

ATKT (Allowed to Keep Terms) means that if a student fails in one or two subjects but meets the board’s promotion criteria, they are promoted to the next semester with ATKT status. The student must then clear these backlog papers in subsequent examination sessions.
