DTE, Madhya Pradesh has opened the Madhya Pradesh Pre-Polytechnic Test (MP PPT) registration on May 4, 2026. The admission process for 3-years Diploma in Engineering and non-Engineering programs is managed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh. Candidates are selected through merit basis, marks obtained in the qualifying Class 10th examination. The entire process includes registration, counselling, and merit list publication is carried out through the official portal dte.mponline.gov.in.

Eligibility Criteria

Aspirant must check and ensure they fulfil all of the following criteria:

Domicile

  • The applicant must be citizen of India.
  • A valid domicile certificate (of Madhya Pradesh) is mandatory. Candidates from other states can also apply.

Educational Qualification

Applicant Must:

  • Have passed SSC (Class 10th) from a recognised board.
  • Have passed SSC or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics.
  • Obtained 35% marks in the qualifying examination.

Age Limit

At least 14 years at the time of admission.

How to Fill the MP PPT 2026 Application Form

Follow the steps below to fill out the appliaction form:

  • Visit the Official Portal Go to the official Counselling website: dte.mponline.gov.in
  • Choose Course Select Diploma Program and click on “Apply”.
  • Click on Registration Link Locate the MP PPT 2026 registration link and procees.
  • New Registration Enter your MPOnline Counselling Roll No. or input basic details — full name, date of birth, email address, and mobile number.
  • Log In and Fill Details Login and enter personal, academic, and contact information. This includes:
    • Personal details (name, date of birth, gender, category)
    • Address and communication details
    • Parents’ / guardians’ names
    • Class 10 roll number, board name, marks obtained, and percentage
  • Upload Documents Upload scanned copies of the required documents in valid format and size:
  • Pay the Application Fee Fee the fee using any modes (online payment or Kiosk for offline).
  • Review and Save Review the form, and print the confirmation page for future reference.

How to Apply Offline: Through MP Kiosk

MP Online Kiosks is a CSC based-centres located across towns and districts of Madhya Pradesh.

  1. Visit the nearest Kiosk centre in your area.
  2. Carry the your necessary documents such as Passport-sized photograph, Aadhaar card, and other certificate.
  3. Register for MP PPT 2026.
  4. Pay the applicable fee (₹400 for General; ₹200 for SC/ST) at the kiosk centre.
  5. Print the receipt as proof of successful transaction.

Counselling Steps

After the merit list is published, shortlisted candidates can participate in the counselling round. The DTE administers the counselling in two rounds (Phase 1 and Phase 2). If seats remain vacant after both rounds, an spot/institutional-level round may be conducted. The process involves the following stages:

Registration

Candidates should register on the DTE portal using their MPOnline Counselling Roll No. or Roll No. / Application No and Date of Birth. Aadhaar verification is mandatory at this stage.

Choice Filling & Locking

Registered candidates fill in their preferred polytechnic colleges and diploma branches in order of priority. Once satisfied, they lock their choices before the deadline. For selection of choices, applicant can check the last year’s cut-off.

Merit List

The DTE prepares a common merit list for all registered candidates based on mark, choices filled, and availability of seats. The authority releases category-wise and branch-wise merit lists.

Reporting and Admission

Candidates who get a seat through selection must report to their allotted institute within the stipulated period, carrying all original documents for final verification and completing the admission formalities.
